By supporting Colorado’s oldest and largest hospice – founded in 1978 – you will be helping people in our community at a most critical time – the end of life by enabling us to continue our comprehensive and compassionate program of care. Here’s just a snapshot of what you would be supporting:
- Each day, The Denver Hospice has nearly 900 patients in our care in a nine-county area. Most of our patients choose to die at home surrounded by their loved ones.
- In 2010, The Denver Hospice cared for more than 3,000 patients.
- The Denver Hospice Grief Center, which is open to everyone in the community whether they are involved in hospice or not, served more than 3,700 adults in 2010.
- Our Footprints Children’s Grief Center helps children whose parents and other loved ones are ill or have died and provides with grief education in schools.
- The Denver Hospice and its Inpatient Care Center never turns anyone away for lack of ability to pay.
